Oregon – Self Storage Act Amended

Governor Kotek signed a bill amending the Self-Storage Statute.

These changes go in effect January 1, 2026 and should not be used until then. The summary of the change is to raise the threshold for the requirement of newspaper advertising to $1,000.00.

You are encouraged to speak with your own attorney regarding the exact requirements and nuances of the change to the Statute.

We congratulate the Oregon Self Storage Association and the National Self Storage Association for this terrific change to the bill.
